Nettelhorst Parent Teacher Organization (NPTO)

About Us

The NPTO is a not-for-profit established by Nettelhorst parents in 1991. Its primary purpose is to support the school and build community through events, programming, and fundraising. It has a board of directors made up of parent and teacher representatives who meet monthly.

The NPTO raises more than $275,000 a year to fund new classroom materials, tech upgrades, building renovations, and teaching positions to maintain small class sizes and keep our fine and performing arts program strong. We also host monthly events to build community spirit.

Few people know that CPS provides only 66% of the funding its schools need to adequately serve students. Rather than go without, the NPTO fundraises to fill funding gaps so students have the materials, staffing, and facilities they need to thrive
