ICBW 2018: Beer & Art featuring DryHop/Marz Collaboration
As part of the Illinois Craft Beer Week celebrations, we’re tapping our collaboration with Marz Community Brewing on Tuesday, May 22 at 5pm in conjunction with our yearly Beer & Art event!
Our collaboration, Arnold Palmer Meets Dragon Lady, is a Pale Ale with Tea & Lemon with a killer history. Four years ago, we brewed this exact same beer with Marz. We decided to brew it again to honor our brewery friendship and Marz’s matriarch Maria.
We will also tap a number of delicious Marz brews for the party. Lineup TBA.
In addition to the beer release and tap takeover, we will debut a new series by Carlos J. Williams, a Chicago based artist born in Puerto Rico and raised in Dominican Republic. He’s also a neighbor of the brewery. In his series titled “Chemical Reactions”, the artist uses alcohol based inks, acrylic based inks and enamel paint, to represent the chemical reactions and mixtures of alcoholic beverages. The main characteristic of this series, is that it represents how things are made, the exploding colors of the things that we place in our system and how everything reacts with each other to makes us feel good.
