Job Summary

The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed. Astound is seeking to fill up to three openings for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

Residential install and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises

Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications

Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed

Customer education

Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner

Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 0 (Entry Level)

Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ladder; Hand or Power Tools; Customer Service; Communication (verbal, written); Basic Computer Skills; Aptitude to learn to skills; Problem solving; Time Management; Teamwork; Working alone
